Services Performed
We mow all lawn areas in the front and back with a mulching mower, edge along all paved surfaces with a steel-bladed edger, use a string trimmer to trim all other grass areas (i.e., along fence lines and around trees and beds) and sweep all paved surfaces clean with a blower.
We encourage you to protect the base of your trees with plastic collars to prevent string trimmer damage. We maintain our equipment weekly, sharpening blades, changing the oil and cleaning air filters.

Mowing Season
Although we offer service all year long, our mowing season begins the first week of March and ends the last week of November. We highly encourage weekly service, unless your lawn is shaded. You are free to switch to biweekly service as the growing season winds down, but it is your responsibility to notify us if you wish to change. If you do switch to biweekly service, biweekly rates will apply. Mowing done outside the mowing season for weekly customers will be mowed at the weekly rate. If the grass is determined to be overgrown(taller than 12 inches), biweekly rates apply.
Biweekly service is available during the growing season, though we don't recommend it. The grass simply grows too tall and the cut will not look as good as lawns that are serviced weekly. Plus, high grass creates significant wear and tear on even the toughest equipment, which is why we charge more per visit.
December - March many of our customers change to monthly service to keep their lawn looking clean and kept up. During
this time, your grass grows slowly or goes dormant but still needs care. Our team will mow, trim, edge and remove leaves and debris from your lawn, which
helps keep it healthy until growing season comes again.

However, we reserve the right to change your service day in order to keep running efficient routes. As a courtesy to you, we will contact you well in advance if your mow day changes.
While we can assure you of the day your lawn will be serviced, we cannot guarantee our arrival time.
Also, in the event of significant rain, we move our customers back one day and use Saturday to catch-up. If you are a weekly customer and this occurs, you may skip a Saturday service if you give us 24-hour notice. However, your lawn will not look its best after your next service due to excessive growth.
If you want us to skip your lawn on a holiday and you are a weekly customer, simply contact us and we will service your lawn the following week on your usual mow day.

Access to Property
If there is an issue with us gaining access to property due to a locked property gate, we recommend that the property owners furnish us with a COMBINATION lock to any gated areas. The combination cannot be lost and allows us to enter the property and complete our tasks when you are not home. We will lock the property upon completion. If you choose to unlock the gates for us each week, please be advised that there will be no credit to your account should you forget to unlock it prior to service, even if we are running one or more days behind due to rain. We will not be responsible for damage to gates that are sagging, missing bolts or hardware, or have rotted or termite damaged wood.

Pricing
The price of your service is determined by the gross square footage of your lot. All pricing is subject to Virginia state
sales tax.

Pets
Please ensure that any waste is picked up the evening before we are scheduled to mow. We do not pick up waste as a part of our service and having our employees have to mow through, around or step in the waste makes for an unpleasant experience and breaks their concentration from trying to do the best job possible. Please ensure that dogs are put up on the days we are scheduled to mow.

Third Party Fertilizing Companies
If you use a third party fertilizing company, we ask that you request they do not come on the day of our service and that they switch to a timed-release fertilizer if they are not already using one. Besides keeping your lawn greener in-between applications, the timed-release fertilizer does not have the ‘super surge’ in growth 7-10 days following application that the cheaper fertilizers give. This surge can be hard to manage, even on a 7-day cutting basis, resulting in a poorer cut.
